"How boring to spend the whole of my vocational energy trying to figure out if I am choosing the right work. It is of much greater interest to me to talk about how I’m going to do the work with integrity. How am I going to protect dignity as I work? And what truths are calling out to me as I work?”
― Cole Arthur Riley, This Here Flesh: Spirituality, Liberation, and the Stories That Make Us

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a rabbi. I also knew from a young age that for me, "being a rabbi" was something I wanted to do beyond the walls of a synagogue. I have long been fascinated by the intersection of spiritual and mental health, and I see my rabbinate as one that holds space for this intersection for individuals, institutions, and communities.  â€‹

As a clergy person and a clinical counselor, I understand that there are many different access points to living a meaningful, supported, connected life. I have been immensely privileged to spend the better part of the last decade immersed in diverse academic and professional environments, all in service of a broader goal of being able to approach psychospiritual care as holistically as possible. I hold undergraduate degrees in Judaic Studies and Studio Art from Binghamton University, Rabbinic Ordination and an MA in Hebrew Literature from HUC-JIR, and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling & Spiritual Integration from Fordham University. In addition to these formal academic experiences,  I sought out supplemental learning opportunities that engaged both body and spirit in tandem. I became a Registered Yoga Teacher (YTT 200) in 2019, completed a 400-hour unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in 2021, and completed a year-long introductory certification in herbalism with local herbalist Mary Blue in 2023. Through all of this learning, I have maintained a focus on how to integrate my education into spiritual care practices that meet people and communities for the fullness of who they are, what they need, and the interlocking systems that they exist within.

As a rabbi, I work with individuals, couples, families, and communities to facilitate spiritual approaches to life transitions, learning, and communal care. As a pre-licensed mental health professional, I encourage and welcome my clients (of all faiths) to explore their spiritual stories and meaning making modalities with curiosity and care.  In all of my roles, I strive to cultivate warm, safe, person-centered containers for people to feel seen and heard for the fullness of who they are.

I currently work full time for Jewish Collaborative Services in Rhode Island, serving in an integrative role as a clinician for the counseling center in addition to facilitating Jewish communal outreach and chaplaincy for Jewish elders across the state of Rhode Island. Though I am limited in my capacity to take on additional projects, I am available at this time for traditional life cycle facilitation, creative rituals for transitional moments, 1:1 adult learning,  and more. When I'm not working, I enjoy gardening, garbage reality tv, and tending to my many (many) indoor plant babies. I am a proud "Doda" to nieces Rafi and Yael, and currently live in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
